Georgie Sampson

I live in rural Angus and spend time every year in Donegal, and both these places have been influential to me in my use of colours and textures in my ceramics. My interest in ceramics began when I left school after which I then worked with Oriental porcelain in my 20s in London. I am largely self taught but have done leisure courses in ceramics at my local college, and I have my own wheel and kiln in my studio. I throw mainly in earthenware and use slip glazes, and am always experimenting with colours and forms. I love throwing and building ceramics.
